Celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month this September with TCPL! We invite everyone to discover your library’s incredible resources and opportunities by signing up for a library card.
Now that school is back in session, this is when libraries across the nation and the American Library Association remind parents, caregivers, and students that the most essential school supply of all is a library card!
This is a great time to let your friends and relatives know how easy it is to sign up for a Tipton County Public Library card. Plus, they’ll receive a free goodie when they do. Need a replacement for a lost library card? The replacement fee is only $1.00, and replacing a worn or damaged card is free.
Come into the Tipton Main Library or the Windfall Library Branch to get your library card. Check out the newest books and so much more! HISTORY OF LIBRARY CARD SIGN-UP MONTH
Declared and celebrated by the American Library Association and libraries all across the country since 1987, the month of September is dedicated to reminding people of all ages that a library card isn’t just the new fall fashion. A library card grants patrons access to literacy services, technology, educational programming, and endless resources. Wow. That’s a lot of power in one wallet-sized plastic card. And guess what? It’s F R E E! I don’t know about you, but free is our favorite price.
